Prop Account Funding: Compare Forecasts with Matching Debit Windows

A funding forecast is an estimate for a defined future interval. A charged funding movement is a ledger event. Compare them only after matching the instrument, interval, quantity basis and unit. A changing interval length can otherwise make a difference look like an error.

Retain the observation and target interval

Save when the forecast was observed and which future period it described. Keep actual movement IDs and their covered intervals separately. A forecast refreshed after the charge cannot be used as the original prediction without changing the question.

For a Singapore diary, retain full UTC instants alongside local UTC+8 displays. The same charge can carry a later local date while belonging to the original UTC interval. Calendar labels do not create another debit.

Match a fictional two-interval record

Suppose the first supplied projection is a debit of 6 units and its matching actual charge is 7. The second projection is a debit of 4 and its matching actual charge is 3.5. Total projected debit is 10 and actual debit 10.5; actual cost is 0.5 higher.

Those totals are meaningful here because the example explicitly supplies matching non-overlapping windows in one currency. If the second charge covers a different interval, keep the first match and leave the combined comparison incomplete. Do not annualise a mismatched collection.

Keep the account state current

HashHedge’s FAQ and daily-loss guide describe funding within account calculations. A projected amount is not a substitute for the actual balance movement or floating result. Reconcile the charged amount before checking the observed account condition.

The original funding-window resource remains available on this site. The sponsored HashHedge link is optional. This page makes no actual-rate prediction, executes no hedge and offers no guarantee that a funding estimate will match a later charge.
